About the Instructors
Dede Schreiner, RYT 200 and Mellisa Scaccia, RYT 200
Dede Schreiner, RYT 200, began teaching in 2009 and in 2016, founded I AM Yoga; a soul care equipping ministry for body, mind and heart that invites students to embrace their sacred worth with grace and love. Dede believes in a practiced-based lifestyle, where openness and joy meet deep and sacred. Compassionately, she companions her students on a journey of living well and loving well through movement, contemplation, action, stillness and community. Dede has led three yoga retreats with Belize Yoga (two were co-taught with Mellisa).
Mellisa Scaccia, RYT-200, began her yoga journey almost 8 years ago. Through yoga, she found a welcoming space to build friendships and strong a community of connections. After her first Belize Yoga retreat, Mellisa was overwhelmingly inspired by her experience and made the decision to pursue becoming a Yoga Instructor. Since 2017, she has been teaching yoga at a local studio, in partnership with a local hospital, privately and at various events near her home in Missouri. This will be Mellisa’s 4th Belize Yoga retreat and 3rd time co-leading with Dede Schreiner. She is a Servant Leader who has an open, loving and listening approach to teaching and interactions with all who cross her path. She looks forward sharing this retreat with you in 2022.
